Why are Scotland leading the way in education?
Scotland has some of the best Universities in the world, and considering our small population, we’re punching way above our weight. Connected Scotland assists in this stellar feat by connecting Scotland’s 19 higher education institutions to position themselves as world leaders. It is an international partner of choice in teaching, research and knowledge exchange. In addition they support the sector’s aspiration to grow the value of its international export income from £1.3 billion to £1.8 billion by 2015 and to exceed £2 billion by 2017.
An ambitious task, and we couldn’t wait to get our teeth into it.
As they showed us the potential for cross collaboration, we had to follow suit with our team. Combining director/writer Hannah Robinson; animation team Oana Nechifor and Peter Shaw; and Chris Bradley on composition duties, the end result was always going to be incredible. Mixing both animation and live-action, we came up with a fun and engaging animation that highlighted the far reaching potential of the project for research and economic development on both the domestic and international playing field.
The Parliamentary launch was a great success and reports were some of the audience were so touched it caused tears. We just hope for the right reasons!
